and Officers
Neil
J. Hennessy
has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and CEO of Hennessy Advisors, Inc.
since 1989, and also serves as President and Chief Investment Officer of Hennessy
Funds. Mr. Hennessy began his financial career
over 30 years ago as a financial advisor, and in 1989 he opened his own broker/dealer firm. In 1996, he founded his own asset management firm and launched his first mutual fund. Today he manages the entire family of quantitatively managed Hennessy Funds.
Mr. Hennessy served as the Co-Chairman of the
National Association of Securities Dealer Business Conduct Committee
District 1 from 1987 to 1989 and Chairman in 1994.
Mr. Hennessy graduated from the University of San Diego and the Wharton School of Upper Management through the SIA.
Mr. Hennessy
is the brother of Dr. Brian A. Hennessy.
Teresa
M. Nilsen has served as Director, Executive Vice President, CFO and Secretary of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 1989, and also serves as Executive
Vice President and Treasurer of Hennessy Funds. Ms. Nilsen has worked in the securities
industry for over 20 years.
Ms. Nilsen received a Bachelor’s
degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
Daniel
B. Steadman has served as Director and Executive Vice President
of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 2000, and also serves as Executive Vice President
and Secretary of Hennessy Funds. Mr. Steadman has been in the financial services industry for
over 25 years, serving as Vice President of WestAmerica Bank from
1995 through 2000, Vice President and an organizing officer of Novato
National Bank from 1984 through 1995, Assistant Vice President and
Manager of Bank of Marin from 1980 through 1984, and Banking Services
Officer of Wells Fargo Bank from 1974 through 1980.
Charles W. Bennett has served
as a Director
of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 2005. Mr. Bennett founded
Consolidated Title Services in 1981 and since then has served as
its chief executive officer and as chief executive officer of its
subsidiary, California Land Title of Marin until his retirement in 2008. In 2004, Consolidated
Title Services became a subsidiary of Stewart Information Services
Corporation, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Henry Hansel has served
as a Director of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 2001. He is President of The Hansel Dealer Group,
which includes seven automobile dealerships. Mr. Hansel is also a founding
Director of the Bank of Petaluma.
Mr. Hansel
received a Bachelor’s
degree in Economics from the University of Santa Clara.
Brian A. Hennessy has served
as a Director of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 1989. Dr. Hennessy was a self-employed
dentist for more than 25 years.
Dr.
Hennessy received a Bachelor’s
degree in Biology from the University
of San Francisco and his DDS from the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Hennessy is the brother
of Neil J. Hennessy.
Daniel G. Libarle has served as
a Director of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 2001. Mr. Libarle is the owner
and President of Lace House Linen, Inc. and is a founding Director
and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Bank of Petaluma. Mr.
Libarle currently serves on the bank's Audit Committee.
Mr. Libarle received a Bachelor’s
degree in Economics from San Jose State University.
Rodger Offenbach
has served as a Director of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 2001. Mr. Offenbach has been
the owner of Ray’s Catering and Marin-Sonoma Picnics since
1973.
Mr. Offenbach
received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University, Chico.
Thomas L. Seavey
has served as a Director of Hennessy Advisors, Inc. since 2001. Mr. Seavey is the owner of Continental Sports Group. He worked for Nike for 12 years, serving as Head Agent for Sales
in the Midwest and California. Mr. Seavey also worked for
International Management Group for three years as the Vice President of Products.
Mr. Seavey received a Bachelor's degree in English and History from Western Michigan University.
